Maybe the Bible is your favorite book. Maybe the bottle is your best friend. Either way — I see you, wherever you're sitting. You're my kind of misfit. We're both just learning grace, one day at a time.

You know what the dictionary calls a misfit? "A person whose behavior or attitude sets them apart from others in an uncomfortably conspicuous way." Yeah. That's us.

But here's what I think of when I hear misfit: Moses. Rahab. Mary Magdalene. Jesus Himself — the ultimate misfit who didn't fit the religious mold and changed everything anyway.

"Before I was born, God set me apart."

JEREMIAH 1:5

So yeah. He's going to seek out. He's going to let my faith speak louder than my fate. I'm going to be the misfit God called me to be. What about you?

You are not too much. You're not too far gone. You're exactly who God called you to be — misfit and all.
