Grace Found Her Before She Wanted It.
Mallory — Mal — is a Certified Biblical Life Coach, spoken word poet, and the founder of Misfit Masterpieces — a faith-based brand built for women who feel like misfits in the pew and in their own skin. Her coaching practice, Dust Off and Rise, walks women through calling, identity, rest, and becoming — not through performance, but through grace.
She didn't grow up in the church. Her mom tried her best to get them there, but it was always a choice between trying to look the part while the family was dying inside, or a softball field where at least she could breathe. Either way — she grew up in chaos. The disease of addiction ran through her family like a river, three generations deep. Darkness tried to take her light out for good. What she didn't know was that God was already breaking generational curses she couldn't yet see — working behind the scenes long before she was ready to let Him in.
She has survived a suicide attempt, narcissistic abuse, and the kind of darkness that makes you wonder if the light even exists anymore. For years her mind told her she was protecting herself by staying numb. Turns out she was just slowly dying. But God had other plans. He gave her breath when she didn't want it. He gave her a heart drenched in grace when she thought she was too far gone. And He gave her a voice — messy, raw, unpolished — to tell other women: you're not too broken. You're being made into something more beautiful than before.
Jesus and recovery are her languages. They don't always understand each other. But she refuses to stay quiet in either one — because without both, she would be in the grave. She is a recovery kid for whom church wasn't always the answer, but Jesus met her anyway. He met her in the wilderness. He met her in the mess. He met her when she was barely breathing and told her — not my child. Your voice will carry my authority. You have an identity written on you before you were born.
Now she coaches women through the war between their minds and their hearts — teaching them what she is still learning herself. You don't need the tension to end. You just need to keep breathing through it. She felt called to start wildfires of hope. So that is exactly what she is doing — one woman, one poem, one coaching session, one testimony at a time.
Seven years sober. Still learning. Still breathing. Still building something beautiful out of the broken pieces.
