Misfit Heart — The Movement
For women who feel called but unseen, tender but powerful, hidden but rising.You know what the dictionary says about misfits? "A person whose behavior or attitude sets them apart from others in an uncomfortably conspicuous way."
I know that feeling.
But here's what I think when I hear "misfit": I think of the people God used that everyone else thought were CRAZY. Moses. Noah. Mary Magdalene. And Jesus Himself — the ultimate misfit who didn't fit the religious mold and changed everything anyway.
I've been on both sides. The world's version of misfit — chasing what I thought would fill me. And God's version — standing out because my faith speaks louder than my fear.
And here's what I know now: Before I was born, God set me apart. (Jeremiah 1:5)
So yeah. I'm gonna stand out. I'm gonna let my faith speak volumes. I'm gonna be the misfit God called me to be.

I didn't grow up in the church. My mom tried her best to get us there, but it was always a choice between trying to look the part when my family was dying inside, or a softball field where at least I could breathe.
Either way? I grew up in chaos. The disease of addiction ran through my family like a river — three generations deep.
I've survived suicide attempts, narcissistic abuse, and the kind of darkness that makes you wonder if the light even exists anymore. For years, my mind told me I was protecting myself by staying numb. Turns out, I was just slowly dying.
But God had other plans.
He gave me breath when I didn't want it. He gave me a heart drenched in grace when I thought I was too far gone. And He gave me a voice — messy, raw, unpolished — to tell other women:
You're not too broken. You're being made into something more beautiful than before.
Now I coach women through the war between their minds and their hearts. I teach them what I'm still learning myself: You don't need the tension to END. You just need to keep breathing through it.

The world used to call my desires and I changed for its attention — but I wasn't satisfied. I did not have peace in my soul. Have you ever felt that way? Misfits are everywhere. It's just up to you to decide which side you are on — the world, or Christ.
